Additional Information On Admissions to Miracle Lake

The following is a list of items a student should bring with him when he comes to stay at Miracle Lake:

·      Alarm clock

·      Work clothes

·      Dress pants

·      Dress shirt

·      Work boots

·      Dress shoes

·      Underclothes

·      Coats (work & dress)

·      Cap or toboggan

·      Gloves

·      Toiletries (i.e., razors, shaving cream, comb, brush, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.)

·      Umbrella or raincoat

·      Stamps/envelopes/pen/paper

·      Towels & washcloths

·      Laundry basket

·      Holy Bible

Students are assigned one washday per week.
Therefore, the student should bring with him at least one week’s supply of clothing.
Washing powder is provided.

SUMMER TIME SCHEDULE

5:45 A.M.            Out of Bed & Dressed for Work

6:00 A.M.            Breakfast

6:30-7:00 A.M.   Quiet Time (Bible & Prayer time)

7:05 A.M.            Leave Quarters

7:10 A.M.            In Van with Ice Water (for off-site work crew)

7:15 A.M.            Work Assignments for on-site students

11:45-12:00          Clean-up work area, put up tools

12:00 P.M.           Lunch

2:00 P.M.             Staff Devotions

2:30 P.M.             Class Begins

4:30 P.M.             Class Ends – Work Assignment given for next day.

5:30 P.M.            (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday) Supper

5:45 P.M. (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) Supper

                             (Sunday supper time will vary.)

9:15 P.M.             Group Devotions (Monday, Tuesday, Friday)
                             (Showers are to be done before 9:15)

9:45 P.M.             Quiet Time begins (goes till 5:45 next A.M.)
                             (No talking, No radios, No headphones. Everyone in your own bedroom.)

10:45 P.M.           Lights Out

WINTER TIME SCHEDULE

6:15 A.M.              WAKE-UP and GET UP (Everyone comes to the table)
                               (7:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday)

6:40 A.M.              BREAKFAST
                               (8:15 a.m. Saturday and Sunday)

7:30-8:00 A.M.      QUIET TIME
                                (Every day, Monday through Sunday)

8:05 A.M.               LEAVE BUILDING FOR CLASS (Monday thru Friday)
                                (For Breakfast, Saturday and Sunday)

8:15-10:30 A.M.     BIBLE CLASS (Monday thru Friday)
                                 (Come to class dressed for work)

10:30–11:00 A.M. WORK ASSIGNMENTS (Monday thru Friday)
                                 (Report to Projects Manager or your assigned lead man for instruction)

11:15–12 NOON     DINNER (lunch to city boys)
                                 (This time may vary according to your work area)

12:00-4:30 P.M.    WORK ASSIGNMENTS (Monday thru Friday)
                               (Same as morning)

4:30 P.M.               Clean up work area. Put up tools.

5:45 P.M.               SUPPER (dinner to city boys)
                               (5:30 p.m. Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday)
                               (5:00 p.m. – Sunday)

9:00 P.M.              GROUP DEVOTIONS (In Your Living Quarters)
                               (Every day except Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday)

10:00 P.M.             QUIET TIME BEGINS
                               (Ends on Weekdays at 6:15 A.M. / on Weekends at 7:00 A.M.)

11:00 P.M.             LIGHTS OUT

GUIDE LINES FOR VISIT

All visitors must be approved through the Director or his designee.

Regular visiting hours are Saturday 1:00-5:00 pm and Sunday 2:00-5:00 pm. Visits

VISITOR RULES

Your family member has come to Miracle Lake to receive help!

We assume that you are more than happy that he came.

When he came he agreed to abide by our rules.

You will be expected to cooperate with us and be in sympathy with our program.

You will report first to the staff member who is on duty when you arrive and will register.

There will be no food or drinks or candy brought to your family member only.

If you bring food, snacks, candy, or drinks you must bring enough for all students and it will be equally distributed.

You will make no cell phones available to your family member who is a student at Miracle Lake.

You will bring no cigarettes, alcohol, or other drugs into the camp in your vehicle.

You may be asked to meet with a counselor and asked for information that will help the staff to understand and better minister to your family member.

Live-in "girl friends" or live-in "fiancés" will not be allowed to visit students at Miracle Lake.

The Bible speaks against fornication. God hates it and we don't allow it.

Wives of students must produce a marriage license before visiting is allowed.

Wives who visit students will be required to have extended counseling sessions with their husband and a Miracle Lake staff member.

There will be no visiting or riding with students in your vehicle.

If the visitor should leave the grounds without staff approval, the visit for that day is terminated.

We strongly urge you to pray for your relative and our staff, and ask your friends and your Church to join you in prayer for us.

Women visitors are not to wear TIGHT fitting clothing that accents their sexuality.

Our students are normal men who can be, but should not be, aroused by the immodest dress of women.

Shorts, skirts, etc MUST be at knee length, or below.
